Digital X-Ray Machines
We know you want the safest, most effective care for your family. That’s why we have completely switched from old-fashioned photographic x-rays that required development, waiting, and scanning into our system, to innovative and fast digital dental x-rays. Not only are these x-rays much clearer and more quickly available for view on the in-room monitors, they also expose you and your family to much less radiation.
Intra-Oral Cameras
Intra-oral cameras are a great companion to digital x-rays and as an educational and informational tool for patients of all ages. These pen-sized cameras allow us to show you highly magnified images, in real time, of all the things you can’t see even with a dental mirror. Kids love that they can really get to know the insides of their mouths and see just what their growing smiles look like, up close and personal. Adults appreciate the view too, plus the ability to follow along with our doctors while we talk to you about your needs and develop treatment plans. It’s precision and information in one tiny device!
Hydrim Sterilization Machines
We never, ever compromise when it comes to your wellbeing. Your safety is absolutely our top priority. That’s why one of our biggest investments has been in our sterilization technology. We chose the Hydrim Sterilization system from the leading infection-control specialists for the first cleaning of every piece of equipment. And even though these are the state-of-the-art cleaners of choice in the dental industry, we take sterilization one step further and put everything through a second process in our autoclave sterilizers. This ensures that all of our dental tools exceed medical sterilization standards.
iTero® Intraoral Scanner
You can trust smilebuilderz to make a great first impression every time with our high-tech iTero® Intraoral Scanner. This digital impression system is changing how we take impressions of your teeth without having messy, uncomfortable putty in your mouth. Using a small wand, we can produce a detailed, 3-D impression of your gums and teeth. Every image we capture is pieced together to show you a color model of the inside of your mouth. The results are 100 percent accurate and lightning fast. You find that the iTero® is very beneficial for treatments involving crowns, bridges, dental implants, and Invisalign® clear aligners.
Panoramic X-rays
A panoramic x-ray provides a unique, wraparound view of your face and teeth. This is a whole new view that’s impossible to see by even the most highly trained dentist. Like traditional x-rays, the panoramics will expose hidden issues like wisdom teeth impaction or even cavities lurking deep inside your smile. A panoramic x-ray is not necessarily used to view the details of each tooth but to give an entire overview of your sinuses, nasal area, and mandibular (jaw) nerve. We love state-of-the-art technology like this that helps give you a dental experience that’s more comfortable and convenient. You get a more precise treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals.
Nomad® X-rays
Smilebuilderz has innovative Nomad® x-ray technology that allows us to see difficult-to-reach areas of your mouth. It’s portable and preferred over wall-mounted x-ray units. Using a hand-held device gives your dentist a more accurate view for more precise results to achieve your oral health goals. Nomad® x-ray units are easily shared between our team members, being battery-powered and rechargeable. Their lightweight components make them a breeze to operate, which is a win-win for everyone involved. Older x-ray machines would require you to be alone while we collected images due to radiation exposure. We’re all in this together, with Nomad® — for safer, healthier x-rays.
3-D CT Scan
For years, physicians relied on computerized axial tomography scans (CAT) to collect 3-D images of what’s happening inside your body. At smilebuilderz, we’ve taken x-rays to the next level with another advanced technology with our Cone Beam CT scans. It can also create detailed 3-D images allowing for a clear view of your bone structure, density, tissues, and nerves. These scans are complete in less than a minute, and there’s no worry about high radiation levels. We generally rely on CT scans to provide you with a more precise dental implant treatment and other restorative and cosmetic procedures.
