As part of our focus on children and young adults, we have created a fun atmosphere from the moment they enter our office reception area. Our Outer Space theme, TVs in our waiting rooms and treatment areas, or enjoying video games provides an atmosphere just perfect for children and young adults.

The American Dental Association says: "Pediatric Dentistry is an age-defined specialty that provides primary and comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health care needs."

According to the American Journal of Pediatric Dentistry “Many oral health problems can be prevented if parents take good care of their infant’s or child’s gums and teeth, optimize systemic and topical fluoride exposure, and eliminate prolonged exposure to simple carbohydrates”.

Dental treatment for Children and Adolescents.

A child’s first visit to a dentist should be as positive an experience as possible and Smilebuilderz begins as their younger patients walk through the door. A childrens’ play area, a 600 gallon aquarium filled with colorful tropical fish, a big screen TV are provided, but most of all a child friendly and caring staff that begins with the front office reception area.

It is highly recommended to get your children in to see us as early as possible but certainly before any more serious problem develops. A small cavity (carie) that is easily taken care of can better insure a very positive first visit.

The special anesthetic needs of children are not limited to standard novocaine injections. Nitrous Oxide can induce deep relaxation and freedom from pain. Each of our treatment rooms is well equipped to administer this option if the parent and their child might want to try, or might need this comfortable option.
